Zagreb steak — what it is, and where to eat it in Zagreb
Despite the name, a Zagreb steak (zagrebački odrezak) is not a steak: it is a thin schnitzel stuffed with ham and cheese, breaded and fried golden — Zagreb’s answer to cordon bleu. At Manir we make it with pork or chicken and serve it with house fries.
Pork or chicken
Pork Zagreb steak stuffed with cheese and ham is 15 €, the chicken one 16 €, both with house fries. Order a šopska salad and a spoon of kajmak on the side.
